The 36th Street Bistro proudly serves locally raised Highland beef in its hamburgers and beef entrées. Highland cattle are a special breed of cattle originally from the Scottish Highlands prized for their super lean meat, (leaner than buffalo), low cholesterol and great taste. The meat is leaner due to the cattle’s unique “hairy” coat of fur that keeps them warm in cooler weather and therefore reduces the need for fat to help keep them warm.

The Highland beef served at the Bistro is locally raised in the Boise Foothills, without steroids, and is pasture/grass feed for the majority of their adult life. Being able to provide this locally produced healthy alternative is just one of the ways the 36th Street Bistro is committed to our customers and the community.
