The 36th Street Garden Center takes its place in the historic Collister Neighborhood with a focus on responsible resource management. The 36th Street Garden Center was featured in the August 2008 edition of  Today's Garden Center Magazine as a leader in the Green Industry.

Built upon a geothermal source, 36th Street Garden Center adheres to forward-thinking "green construction" and recieved a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification award from the U.S. Green Building Council.
